The magic of words and rhythm filled the air as GIIS KL Auditorium hosted a lively Poem Recitation Competition for our young stars of Classes 1 and 2! The event brought together eager students, enthusiastic teachers, and an audience ready to be charmed by the power of poetry. Centered around a heartwarming celebration of motherhood, the young learners stepped onto the stage to showcase their growing speaking skills, boundless creativity, and radiant confidence.
Aligned with the school's commitment to holistic growth, the competition beautifully integrated SDG 4: Quality Education alongside key 9 Gems pillars, Visual and Performing Arts, Personality Development, Innovation and Creativity, and Skill Development. To make the day even more special, an esteemed external judge joined the event to evaluate the performances based on pronunciation, expression, voice modulation, poise, and overall presentation.
From the moment the first student took the stage, the auditorium buzzed with energy. The young reciters delighted everyone with their clear speech, expressive gestures, and vibrant presence. Through their carefully chosen poems, they explored uplifting themes of self-worth, kindness, responsibility, and gratitude for life’s everyday moments. The judge was deeply impressed by the extraordinary preparation and natural stage presence of the young participants, offering heartfelt praise and inspiring words to encourage their continuous journey in public speaking.
It was truly a memorable day that nurtured a deep love for literature while helping our youngest learners shine bright. Heartfelt congratulations to all our brilliant participants for their enthusiastic efforts and for making the Poem Recitation Competition a resounding success!
